Monu Mia and Sultana Girls Orphanage
Located in Shahrasti, Monu Mia and Sultana Girls Orphanage, founded in 2014, houses 28 girls between the ages of 3-15 years. It was founded by the sons and daughters of the Late Alhaj Syed Monirul Islam and Sultana Begum.
The facilities are immaculate, established, and spacious. Co-founder Nazrana Hira endeavors to ensure that the girls are loved and grow to be well-rounded, productive citizens in Bangladesh. The facilities have also been visited and lauded by Bangladeshi government officials on multiple occasions. The girls are renowned in the village for excelling in school. Most significantly, the staff ensures that the girls are treated with dignity and love.
Director Hira has underscored the urgency for tutoring support and therapy services particularly amid the ongoing school shutdown in Bangladesh. While implementing our remote ESL classes and therapy training workshops, we are heartened to inspire and be inspired by the talented, brilliant young girls at Monu Mia and Sultana Girls Orphanage.
