LEF for Life School/Dino's Orphanage

LEF (Life, Education, and Food) for Life School is a registered NGO providing free primary and secondary schooling to more than 300 underprivileged, slum-dwelling children in Dhaka, Bangladesh. LEF has 3 spacious accommodation houses providing shelter to 100+ children. The children residing in the accommodation house have survived harrowing social ills such as child labor, servitude, and homelessness. Founder Prabhudan Halder, fondly known as Dino, is committed to nurturing both the minds and physical well being of the children under his care. His mission is guided by his own experiences as an orphan, and he hopes to ensure that no child will experience the deprivations and exploitation he endured as a child.

We are humbled by the mission of LEF for Life School, and we have laudably found that no expense is spared toward securing a high quality of life for the children served. Notably, the school strives to open pathways to social mobility for the children they educate by providing transferable skills in computer literacy, graphic design, cookery, and fashion design. Subsidized meals and free classes are accessible to all underprivileged children at LEF for Life School.

Our remote class offerings at the school currently include math, science, English, music, crafts, Bangla, and informational technology from Grades 1-8. In the near future, we hope to sponsor additional laptops for the school to enhance the quality of our classes. Please consider making a donation to sponsor meals for 300+ children at the school. LEF for Life School is also actively seeking to launch a higher education program but will require your support toward fulfilling this ambitious goal. We are galvanized to share a common vision and are honored to enrich the lives of the children LEF for Life School serves.
