Monobikash School
Located in Narsingdi, Bangladesh, Monobikash School seeks to instill in less privileged primary school-aged children foundational instruction in literacy and math. With a nearly 60-student body and 6 instructors, Monobikash School has maintained an established, reputable presence in the village since its founding. The children are patient, motivated learners, and we are confident that they will inspire you with their brilliance.
Founder and psychotherapist Shakowath Sharif and head instructor Abida Sultana have described the hurdles the school has confronted amid COVID-19. Formal classroom instruction has been shuttered amid the pandemic, and many of the children are returning to the classroom for the first time in months while participating in Fera Foundation's ESL classes. We are confident that this revolutionary mode of instruction will nurture in children a love for the classroom while maintaining social distancing policies.
